Name of Conference: HFSI JMUN 2024

Summary:On the 23rd of April, our school’s very own Model United Nations (MUN) conference was held at HFSI. The conference mimicked the United Nations and aimed to provide delegates with an educational platform for diplomatic discourse, resolution negotiations, and the discussion of urgent global issues.

Highlights:While the conference's committee sessions served as its focal point, the complex agendas stole the show, enrapturing delegates and offering food for thought about the world around us. These subjects were chosen with care to represent contemporary issues facing the world and encourage insightful conversation among attendees. The agendas of the committees were as follows:

UNSC: Deliberating on the events that took place on 22nd June 1941.(World war 2)
DISEC: Discussing a ceasefire in the middle east
UNGA: Addressing the Russo-Ukrainian war and ensuring regional stability
UNHRC: Discussing Human rights violations in Afghanistan
ILO: Deliberating on the violation of minimum working age standards and child labor laws
UNW: Discussing the fundamental rights of women should have the right to wear hijabs in European schools
WHO: Healthcare in armed conflict zones- focussing on the middle east

Participation of Delegates:All the Delegates actively participated in the conference with enthusiasm and zeal. The delegates presented speeches, had animated discussions, and worked together to find reliable solutions to the grave and complex problems at hand.

Committee Meetings:Throughout the conference, a number of committees met, including the Security Council, the Human Rights Council, the General Assembly, and other specialised committees. Every committee engaged in comprehensive problem-solving by debating particular issues pertinent to its mandate and the delegates were actively engaged in working together to provide solutions to these complex problems at hand.

Crisis Simulations: Crisis simulations during the conference gave the attendees dynamic scenarios to react upon instantly giving them an opportunity to resolve this situation instantly. These role-plays evaluated the problem-solving and critical thinking skills of the delegates.

The Secretariat:To make this simulation of the Model United Nation(MUN) a success the members of the Secretariat played a huge role. The members of the Secretariat included:
