Alumnus Shines in Major Musical, Inspiring School Community

"Gandhi – The Musical"

August is a month of great excitement as we prepare to celebrate the 78th Indian Independence Day on the 15th. Enhancing our early celebrations at the school, alumnus Master Aaren Panikar from Hiranandani Foundation School International Powai, shone brightly with his exceptional performance in the show "Gandhi – The Musical," which was the highlight of the month.

The musical, held at the NCPA on August 2, 2024, took the audience through the remarkable journey of The Father of the Nation, fondly known as Bapu. Students had the chance to witness first hand this extraordinary man’s fight for independence and his struggles as he pursued equality in India. The musical beautifully captured Gandhi's essence, portraying his journey towards India's freedom through the power of Ahimsa (Non-Violence) and Satyagraha.

The depiction of the Jallianwala Bagh tragedy was particularly impactful, moving the audience to tears. The poetic moment when the cast held the khadi ropes to unfurl Gandhi’s Charkha around him was enacted with great sensitivity, delivering a powerful message of unity.

Aaren Alok Panikar, a 2020 graduate of Hiranandani Foundation School International is now pursuing his graduation at Atlas SkillTech University, Mumbai.

In support of his achievements, Principal and Head of School Mrs. Kalyani Patnaik organized a trip for students, staff, and teachers to attend the performance at NCPA. Principal Patnaik’s presence at the event highlighted her support for extracurricular learning and appreciation for the arts.

Aaren has proven that with talent, hard work, and a strong educational foundation, dreams can indeed become reality. His inspiring journey serves as a powerful reminder of the potential within each student and the supportive role that Hiranandani Foundation Schools play in nurturing their talents.
