HFSMUN 2023 REPORT

The journey began with an aspiration, a profound theme ‘Diversity and Inclusivity’ and a vision to soar to great heights, to dedicate ourselves to humanity's service, and to make an indelible impact. Nurtured under the auspices of this grand aspiration, the HFS Model United Nations (HFSMUN), a collaborative initiative by ISC and IBDP, proudly commenced its 12th annual conference. The inauguration ceremony was an unforgettable testament to the spirit of HFSMUN with the addresses from our esteemed trustee Dr Niranjan Hiranandani, our Head of School Mrs Kalyani Patnaik, and the prestigious chief guest, the Polish General Consul of Mumbai, Damian Irzyk about the theme, inclusivity in our world today, and global boundaries. Their addresses started off the event with the joy, anticipation, and hopefulness of that momentous day.

Through meticulous reporting, extensive diplomatic discussions and enthralling press conferences, we entered the very heart of HFSMUN, capturing the essence of each thought- provoking discussion, every momentous decision, and the collective spirit that defined this event. Together in the past three days, we have traversed the narratives, triumphs, and challenges that have shaped HFSMUN 2023.

The closing ceremony, the last milestone of HFSMUN 23, perfectly encapsulated the essence of the last 36 hours. It was a heartwarming event filled with inspirational speeches, thunderous applause, exuberant cheers, and a contagious sense of motivation that deeply moved everyone present. Our esteemed Head of School, Mrs. Kalyani Patnaik, eloquently traced the momentous journey of HFSMUN, reflecting on its remarkable past while embracing the promise of an even brighter future for the conference. She expressed heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Prerna Shinde, as well as Mr. Punish Sharma, for opening the doors of Meluha to HFSMUN once again. She also talked about how HFS has enabled us to leverage the same to offer opportunities for growth and development to those who do not. As 5 brilliant, intelligent and resourceful students from Vidya Niketan Academy in Srirampur sat in that hall after experiencing the same wonder and passion as the rest of us for the first time, enabling HFS to move a step closer to living the dream it started out with. With that, HFSMUN came to an end, and all the hard work paid off. Now it was time to rest. Until next time, that is.
