Xmas Report

It's not how much we give but how much love we put into giving.”

—Mother Theresa

Christmas is one of the biggest festivals celebrated by over a billion people around the world every year. Soaking in the spirit of Christmas, learners of Primary celebrated the festival with great enthusiasm on December 18, 2020 with all its joy and happiness. Everyone was dressed in Santa’s favorite colors and the children spread cheer with their smiles and lovely attire and sang melodious carols to wish their teachers and peers. The significance of the festival was explained to our students through the Christmas story as “We wish you a merry Christmas…”, “Dashing through the snow…” filled the air with festivity.

Virtual Santa Claus arrived with bells of happiness and joy on his ‘one-horse open sleigh’ to meet his loving fans at HFSI. Our gifts this year were a bag full of stories and fun activities from our very own virtual Santa.

Story Time with Santa introduced the young learners to the fascinating ways in which Christmas is celebrated in different countries around the world. Learners went around the globe on Google Earth as Santa shared the traditions in Australia, Europe and the United States of America.

The famous Italian legend – La Befana, Story of Santa Claus, origin of Christmas trees and the history behind Christmas in the United States of America were amongst a few of the stories that were shared with the children by virtual Santa.
