Good afternoon everyone. Today, I am proud to say that we did it. IB means two years of classes, assignments, submissions, tests and extended essays. But it also means lunch breaks, corridor talks, group projects, substitute teachers, and field trips. It’s no news that the past year sucked all the good bits out of our senior year but the class of 2021 still did it! We got through tough times and great ones and we did it together.

When we first started IB, we were mere 16 year olds trying to figure what we want to do in life and HFSI nurtured us into these young adults who know what they want and better yet, go after it! The competitions, the HFSMUN, the TEDxYouth, and numerous other opportunities gave us platforms to grow on. We were given several caps to wear and duties to fulfil, and it simply made us ambitious. Lastly, the past year bestowed hardships upon not only students but also the teachers. They had to adapt quickly to no chalkboards, no labs and no classrooms. But they didn’t give up, they made online classes fun with role plays in BM and kahoot revisions in physics. So a big thanks to the head of school, all the teachers, and the non teaching staff of the school. And thank you to all my friends who stood by me through the good and the bad. Congratulations on graduating!
