ANNUAL ATHLETIC MEET 2022-23

HFSI BEAUMONT PRE PRIMARY and CAIE Grades 1 & 2-ANNUAL ATHLETIC MEET 2022-23

If there is one field of life that teaches us the most valuable lessons about perseverance and patience, in fact what constitutes a perfect character, it is sports.

After a hiatus of two years due to the lingering fear of the COVID-19 pandemic, HFS International organized one of its most significant events,’ The Annual Athletic Meet’ for Beaumont Pre-Primary and CAIE Grades 1 and 2.This event embodied the zeal, talents, and spirit of sportsmanship of the students of HFSI, encouraging them to be persistent and further refine their skills, achieving the greatest of heights.

Head of School Mrs. Kalyani Patnaik welcomed the esteemed gathering. The chief guest for the day was the Principal of the Japanese School of Mumbai Mr.AkinoriTakado, along with the honorable guests Mr. & Mrs. Milind Srivastava. The theme for the Day was Rhyme with the planet Earth. The hosts for the day – our very own Erica Goyal and Vaani Menon of Grade III infused the event with cheer and kept the spirits high throughout the event. The mascots for this year – the agile cheetahs, enthralled the audience with their entry and reminded everyone present that as inhabitants of this beautiful biosphere, it is our duty to conserve our precious planet Earth - by preventing pollution of the Earth and its natural resources such as air and water - so that we can save the planet. All living forms must be protected since the web of life is made up of all life forms.

The proceedings for the day were kickstarted with an impressive Walk Past of the students of Beaumont Pre Primary; dressed in colours symbolizing flowers from a garden, and CAIE Grades 1 and 2, coupled with stirring marching music by the school band. The young learners were led by their Sports Captain and house representatives from CAIE Grade 5. This was followed by the school song and Torch Ceremony - the bright yellow flame of the torch, a symbol of strength, valor, and fearlessness - qualities that sports will inculcate in children. Keeping with the tradition, the Head of School, Mrs. Kalyani Patnaik along with the Chief Guest initiated the balloon-releasing ceremony, inspiring the students to have more energy and luck on their side and a sign of letting go of all tension, inhibitions, and negativity.

An energizing Follow the Leader and Pom Pom Drill by our Beaumont toddlers set the tone for the rest of the event with their mesmerizing and energetic display of colour and coordination. Once the races began, the air was filled with cheering and tons of encouragement for the young athletes. Students of Beaumont and Grades I and II competed in events including sprints, drag race, pick the ball and run, obstacle races and hula hoop race. Not to be left far behind, the parents of our students stepped up to the occasion and took part in the parent race sportingly and added to the enjoyment.

The rightful winners of all the races held were then felicitated with medals and certificates by the Head of School, Mrs.Kalyani Patnaik.

We are thankful to the entire team of Sportsters for training our little learners so well, thanks also to Ms. Pooja - CAIE Primary Supervisor for meticulously organising the event and kudos to the entire team (teaching and non teaching staff )of Beaumont and HFS International.

The vote of thanks was proposed by the Centre Head of Beaumont, Ms Binaifer Gagrat followed by the National Anthem which was sung with immense pride by everyone present.
