The Expert advice on " Introduction to engineering and management study programs - career Guidance session with VIT Experts" 1.15 Pm to 2.20 Pm 24th November.
Participants enjoyed the Session throughout , the participants were 50+ IB board students and got a huge insight about career and placement guidance about all streams and towards the future, later about VIT Admission, Academics, Curriculum, and Placement.
Mrs. Vijayalakshmi from Vellore institute of technology's admissions department gave the students of IBDP 1 and 2 a concise orientation on the admissions process and prerequisites for VIT. VIT prides itself on its innovative and highly dynamic course offerings, the engineering and science majors and constantly updated keeping in mind the trend in industry and job openings. They recognise that the world is changing and requires new kinds of professionals and skilled labour, hence VIT prioritises skill building equally as much as the subject matter. Despite what the name suggests, VIT isn't a college that only offers science degrees, they also offer degrees in commerce and liberal arts. These include courses in business management and political sciences. The college boasts an impressive range of options for different career plans, everything from 2+2 (India and abroad) programs to Dual degrees (bachelor's and master's degree combined). Astonishingly their only requirements are 12th board results and scores of their in-house aptitude test, the VITEEE for the BTEC aspirants, and their version of SAT for the Science, Liberal arts and Commerce students. It provides a highly standardized method of admission for students from all curricula. Given that the student can clear their respective in-house aptitude test, an Interview and Statement of purpose will be taken to understand the student's motivation to join the highly renowned alumni of VIT. They have four campuses across India, with varying degrees available across all; they have one in Vellore, Chennai, Amravati and Bhopal. Degrees like astrophysics are exclusively available at Bhopal. Overall VIT is one of the best private institutions for higher learning in India, not only has it been accredited by NAAC, ABET, ACBSP, ACCA and the NBA, but it has also been lauded by many of its alumni.
