HFSI FEST 2019-20

Hiranandani Foundation School, International gathers STEAM at Srijan 2019

‘Equipped with his five senses, man explores the universe around him and calls the adventure Science.’ The corridors of HFSI metamorphosed into an aesthetic intersection of art and science as the entire school fraternity comprising students, faculty and staff collaborated for an ambitious inter-disciplinary odyssey entitled ‘Srijan’ on 19th December, 2019. Curated by the principal, Mrs. Kalyani Patnaik, the exhibition touted the symbiotic relationship between art and science with an aim to push the boundaries between the two. The attendees witnessed a rendezvous of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics (STEAM) through stupendous exhibits that unleashed a sense of discovery and creativity. The exhibition was a homogeneous blend of tradition and cutting- edge technology. Visitors could be seen appreciating an array of displays including exquisite illustrations, interactive games, mechanical prototypes, 3D installations, puppet shows and photo booths. The event inspired a wealth of artistic and scientific responses as students demonstrated their acumen, insight and scientific temper through copiously ingenious expressions on robotics, automation, holography, AI in security systems as well as a brilliantly futuristic concept called the Space Pod. The joie de vivre reached a crescendo as the day advanced and the event picked up steam! The eventful day was officially brought to a close with the address of the chief guest, Mr. Vinayak Sudhakar (Development and recognition manager, International Baccalaureate Organization ), amidst thunderous applause. Srijan 2019 proved to be more than just an inaugural calendar event; it was ensconced as a crash course in the art of science and the science of art.
