CONSOLIDATED REPORT FOR WEBSITE-PRIMARY ACTIVITIES

GRADES 1 & 2

The enthusiastic students of Grades 1 & 2 @ HFSI spoke clearly and confidently on a variety of randomly assigned topics during the Extempore Speech activity conducted on 10th April 2024. The activity was a great learning experience for all the students as each one got an opportunity to come on stage and speak on their topic for a few minutes. The topics given to the students were age-appropriate and relevant to their interests. The students did an amazing job and showed great enthusiasm and creativity in their speeches.


Crafty Creations

The Crafty Creations activity conducted on 12th April 2024 for the learners of Grades 1 & 2 @ HFSI provided students with a creative outlet to explore their artistic talent to develop their craft skills. Students were tasked with creating unique crafts using a variety of materials, including paper, fabric, beads, buttons, and paint, among others They dove into the activity with excitement, using scissors, glue, and paintbrushes to bring their ideas to life. It was amazing to see how each craft reflected the personality and interests of its creator.. The end result was a diverse range of crafts that showcased the students' creativity and imagination making for a fun and engaging experience for all involved.


Walk Down the Ramp

The Walk Down the Ramp Activity conducted on 15th April 2024 for Grade 1 & 2 learners @HFSI gave an opportunity to the students to dress up and bring their favorite storybook or film characters to life. The activity aimed to encourage learners to explore their creativity and imagination while also enhancing their communication and public speaking skills.


INDOOR SPORTS JAMBOREE

On April 23rd, 2024, the Beaumont campus hosted an exhilarating Indoor Sports Jamboree, where learners from Grades 1 and 2 delved into a spectrum of engaging indoor activities. The event comprised of various indoor sports and fun games, including warm- up sessions, and hand-and-eye coordination exercises using hoola hoops, cones, poly spot markers, etc. The objective of the event was to promote physical activity and sportsmanship among the young learners, while also giving them an opportunity to enjoy themselves. From dynamic warm-up sessions to hand-and-eye coordination challenges; with each station following set of rules and objectives, learners were encouraged to participate to the best of their abilities.


Report Laughter Challenge

The laughter challenge tickled everyone’s funny bones as the learners of Grades 1 & 2 brought out their sense of humor on stage and entertained their peers with witty poems and funny stories.

The event was full of humor and laughter, making students realize the importance of making others happy and spreading joy.


GRADES 3, 4 & 5

Flying Parachutes (Grade 4):

Grade 4 students delved into the principles of aerodynamics by designing and constructing flying parachutes. Through this activity, students learned about air resistance, gravity, and the relationship between force and speed. The culmination of the activity involved testing the parachutes from varying heights. This hands-on experience not only deepened students' understanding of physics concepts but also encouraged collaboration and critical thinking.


Elephant's Toothpaste Experiment (Grades 3, 4, and 5):

The Elephant's Toothpaste experiment was conducted across all three grades as an​ introductory activity to explore chemical reactions. Students were fascinated as they​ witnessed the rapid production of foam caused by mixing together hydrogen peroxide along​ with liquid dishwashing soap and yeast. This experiment served as a captivating introduction​ to the concept of chemical reactions, sparking curiosity and inquiry among students.

Grade 3 - Solar Oven Activity:

In Grade 3, students embarked on a hands-on journey to explore solar energy by constructing solar ovens using cardboard. Through this activity, students learned about harnessing solar energy for practical purposes. They observed the transformation of solar energy into heat energy, which they utilized to melt chocolate inside their homemade solar ovens. This activity not only reinforced concepts of renewable energy but also encouraged creativity and problem-solving skills as students designed and tested their solar ovens.


Math Activity – Creating Board Games

In Grades 3, 4, and 5, students engaged in a series of house activities centered around exploring mathematical concepts through the creation of board games - a fantastic w ay to bring math to life and make it more enjoyable for everyone involved. Learners were seen engaged in activities that reinforced concepts such as counting, addition, logic, probability and pattern recognition. By designing the game board and rules, students honed their mathematical skills while fostering creativity and teamwork.


Dress up Day

Dressed in an array of colorful costumes, students transformed into their favorite international figures, ranging from renowned scientists and activists to famous artists and athletes. Notably, many students went the extra mile by designing their own accessories, adding a personal touch to their portrayal. The event commenced with each student delivering a concise two-minute speech, passionately detailing the significance of their chosen personality. The event served as a reminder of the power of education in fostering curiosity, empathy, and global awareness among young learners.


Leading the Way: Students Take Charge at Conferences!

Empowering our students to take ownership of their learning journey, we conducted student- led conferences for grades 1 through 5. These conferences provided students with the opportunity to showcase their progress, achievements, and goals to their parents and teachers. It was inspiring to witness the confidence and maturity displayed by our students as they led these meaningful discussions.


HFSI CAIE-Primary – A MUSICAL SHOWCASE

Excitement filled the air as students from CAIE Grades 3, 4, and 5 put on a fantastic music al festival at HFS International. With solo singing, group performances, and instrumental showcases, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

Enthusiastic participants poured their hearts into each performance, displaying remarkable confidence and skill beyond their years. The young performers dazzled the audience with their talent and enthusiasm.

Throughout the event, students and teachers tapped their feet and swayed along to the mu sic, creating a lively atmosphere of joy and celebration. It w as a memorable day filled with music and smiles, showcasing the incredible talent of our young musicians.
