India meets Germany report

On the 2nd of February, 2022, HFS International welcomed the German consulate General of Mumbai, Dr.Jürgen Morhard, in person. He was received with honour by the 11th & 12th grade students of the ISC & IB boards. The middle school students, however, attended the event online via zoom.

Mrs. Kalyani Patnaik, our esteemed principal, introduced Dr. Morhard. This was followed by a speech and a question-and-answer session during which students could interact with Dr.Morhard. Additionally, he and his team were presented momentos on behalf of the entire school.

Dr.Jürgen Morhard was the Chief Guest for the HFSMUN 2021. The moment indeed became special as it was in his presence that our beloved principal ma'am, Mrs.Kalyani Patnaik, announced the new HFSMUN 2022 Director General and Secretary General.

The CAIE's Grade 4&5 students presented a melodious song to mark the occasion and the IBDP seniors followed it up by an engaging discussion on the cultural ties between Germany and India. There was a brief presentation before the ceremony concluded, and the national anthems of both countries; India and Germany, marked the end of this memorable occasion.

On a reflective note, this was an excellent opportunity for several of the seniors to learn about the universities in Germany and the post-graduate job options available there. It was also an amazing opportunity for the middle level and high school students to learn more about India's relationship with Germany.
All in all, it was indeed a rare moment of honour for everyone present, to be able to meet with the consulate General and listen to his inspiring message.
